Biography
Laila Ali, born Miami Beach, Florida in 1977, is the daughter of Muhammad Ali and one of the most influential figures in 1990s-2000s women's boxing. She turned professional in October 1999 — without informing her father — and retired in 2007 with a perfect 24-0 record (21 KOs, an 87% KO ratio). Her June 2001 fight with Jacqui Frazier-Lyde — daughter of Joe Frazier — was the first women's boxing pay-per-view, marketed as 'Ali vs Frazier IV.' Beat Frazier-Lyde by majority decision. Has since become a TV personality and chef.
