The first heavyweight title fight between two undefeated champions. Ali (31-0) had been stripped of his title in 1967 and was returning; Frazier (26-0) had won the vacant title. Frazier knocked Ali down in the 15th round with a left hook, taking the unanimous decision. Considered one of the most consequential sporting events of the 20th century.
