Ali was a 4-1 underdog against the undefeated Foreman who had destroyed Joe Frazier two years earlier. Ali used the 'rope-a-dope' strategy: lean on the ropes, absorb Foreman's body shots, conserve energy. By the 7th, Foreman was exhausted; in the 8th, Ali landed a flush right hand and finished him. The most famous come-from-behind win in heavyweight history.
