Biography

Jaron 'Boots' Ennis, born Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1997, became the IBF welterweight champion in November 2024 by 12th-round stoppage of Karen Chukhadzhian. A switch-hitter with a 30 KO ratio out of 34 pro fights, Ennis is widely seen as the heir apparent to Terence Crawford as the dominant force at 147 pounds. Trained by his father Bozy Ennis, he has been an active title-holder since age 27 and is on the consensus pound-for-pound short list for 2026.
