Biography
Amanda Serrano, born Carolina, Puerto Rico in 1988 and raised in Brooklyn, is the only fighter in boxing history to win world titles in seven different weight classes — surpassing Manny Pacquiao's eight by half a division (she has held titles from 115 to 135 lb, in 7 distinct divisions, depending on how the sanctioning bodies are counted). The April 2022 Madison Square Garden fight with Katie Taylor — which she narrowly lost by split decision — is regarded as one of the best fights in modern boxing. The November 2024 rematch at AT&T Stadium (the Jake Paul–Mike Tyson undercard) again went to Taylor by unanimous decision, though many ringside observers had Serrano winning clearly. Holds undisputed featherweight crown.
