Biography

Claressa Shields, born Flint, Michigan in 1995, is the only boxer in history — male or female — to be the undisputed four-belt world champion in three different weight classes (middleweight 2019, super middleweight 2021, light heavyweight 2022). She is also the only American to win consecutive Olympic gold medals in boxing, taking middleweight gold at London 2012 (age 17, the youngest American Olympic boxing champion ever) and again at Rio 2016. Her ten-round war with Savannah Marshall (October 2022) at the O2 Arena in London — a sold-out card headlined entirely by women — is widely cited as the most significant women's boxing event of the modern era. Promotes her own DBE (Dollar Bills Enterprise) brand and has crossed over to MMA in the PFL.
